About Our Chapter
The objective of this chapter shall be to encourage the development of a professional consciousness, to afford an opportunity for civil engineering students to become acquainted and to practice working together effectively, to promote a sprit of congeniality among them, and to provide friendly contact with the engineering professions.
What is the ASCE?
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), founded in 1852, is the oldest national professional engineering society in the United States. ASCE is dedicated to the advancement of the individual civil engineer and the advancement of the science and profession of civil engineering through education. The leading representative body for civil engineers in the United States, ASCE is also recognized globally for its significant contributions to the civil engineering profession. Worldwide, more than 120,000 professionals belong to ASCE, including 8,000 international members in 137 nations and over 15,000 students.
